Dear Bloggistas,
We're off on another adventure, this time our first trip to New Zealand. We fly into Auckland, arriving on Tuesday, Dec 3, at 8 AM and immediately drive up to Kerikeri for a week of intensive birding. That is, if the rain lets up! There's a week of precip predicted.
My sister, Hilary, is joining us on Sunday, Dec 8, and we'll fly to Wellington, cross Cook Strait and drive south. We thought four weeks was enough to see most of the country, but it turns out we had to eliminate some prime birding areas such as Stewart Island, but I'm sure we'll see a lot!
